World’s First ‘Robot Sales’ Offline Store Opens In Shenzhen, Southern China

According to the China Securities Times, the opening ceremony of the “Robot 6S Store” was held the previous day in Longgang-gu, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, with several corporate representatives and citizens gathered.

The term “6S store” is derived from the Chinese car store model “4S store.” The Korea Securities and Exchange said that “Robot 6S store” is a concept that adds “robot rental” and “personalized customization” to the traditional “4S store” that refers to sales, parts, services, and information feedback.

An industry official said that Shenzhen is seeking to upgrade the entire robot industry from equipment sales to function sales through the “Robot 6S Store” model and for robots to enter the market in earnest.

The new robot store displays the latest products such as humanoid robots, mechanical arms, sophisticated hand robots, and robot dogs, and “robot baristas” and “robot zenbing (Chinese street toast) longevity” make food.

“The 6S store opened the offline contact passage for robots by allowing them to see them with their own eyes and verify their functions,” said Sunjen, CEO of Digitalization Shah Technology. “It narrowed the distance between robots and customers and made it possible for people to truly believe in the development of the robot industry.”

“It is no coincidence that the world’s first robot 6S store opened in Longgang, Shenzhen,” said Jung Lei, chief economist at SMY Cloud. “Many people don’t know, but Shenzhen Longgang created the first artificial intelligence (AI) robot industry ministry in the country.”

The Securities Times reported that Longgang-gu held an AI and robot development competition in May and announced a series of policy measures to develop the body intelligence robot industry by creating China’s first government-direct organization in the field of AI, “Longgang-gu AI (Robot).”
