Controversy as customers are seen carrying free onion toppings for hot dogs in plastic bags at Costco stores in Taiwan

China’s Bastille Post quoted a recent article on local social media (SNS) and reported what happened at a Costco store in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

According to reports, the store provides free onion refills to customers who purchase hot dogs, and one day, three women appeared in a self-corner with onions and began scooping onions in plastic bags.

When the store employee saw this, he approached them and warned them to take only the right amount of onions. Then, they left quietly as if they knew it.

However, when the employee disappeared, the two women returned to the self-corner, and it was reported that they even put the onions in a bag.

A shopper at the scene wrote on social media at the time, “I thought the situation was over because they left under the attention of the employee,” adding, “They completed their mission to collect onions despite the humiliation.”

When Internet users heard the news, they responded, “It’s a disgrace to Taiwan,” “Somehow, my hot dog always doesn’t have onions,” and ” Wouldn’t it be embarrassing if my son and daughter saw such a mother?”
