Choi Bul-am, the national father, will be appointed as an honorary ambassador for the 2023 Hadong Cha Expo at Cheonggye Plaza in Seoul.
Choi Bul-am, the “national father” who has played a big role in Korean broadcasters as the investigative leader and the country’s leader, is an honorable man who served as the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s ambassador for the longest time and was selected as the “50 People Who Shined KBS” to mark the 50th anniversary of the corporation this year.
Choi Bul-am expressed his belief and support to become an honorary ambassador for the 2023 Hadong Tea Expo, saying, “I have a will to solidify Hadong Green Tea, a world-renowned agricultural heritage that has preserved the Expo’s theme of 1,200 years.”
Ha Seung-cheol, the governor of Hadong-gun, said, “I cannot express my gratitude and joy for Choi Bul-am, a respected national actor, for his interest in Hadong and his response as a goodwill ambassador for the Hadong Tea Expo.”
“Hadong Tea Expo is a great opportunity to promote Hadong Tea with the scent of nature to the world as the driving force behind a healthy future,” he said.
The honorary ambassador appointment ceremony will be held at Cheonggye Plaza at 14:00 on April 1st, starting with the King’s Tea Party parade led by veteran announcer Lee Jae-yong. The event will be held in Gwanggyo.
Meanwhile, the 2023 Hadong Tea Expo is the first official international event approved by the government under the theme of tea, co-hosted by Gyeongsangnam-do and Hadong-gun and organized by the Hadong Tea Expo Organizing Committee.
It plans to develop various and sustainable contents such as the Next Millennium Hall, which introduces the history and ecology of Korean tea, the Wellness Hall that heals the mind and body, the World Tea Art Hall, and the Tea-related Industrial Convergence Hall.
In addition, starting with the King’s Tea Ceremony with the public, it will prepare many things to enjoy during the event, such as tea ceremony, various performances, and events, so that visitors can feel the value and efficacy of tea and connecting beautiful tourist attractions in Hadong and Gyeongnam.
