Camping car company attempts to expand it’s business

On Oct. 28, three people, including Makoto Yorisada, CEO of Campingcar Inc., Japan’s No. 1 camping car company, visited the Seoul office of the US Asia Journal (LA Times. Asia Section). The purpose of the visit is to directly check the demonstration of each solution and discuss business with the management of the two companies in order to apply the solution of Infoming and GB Soft, a Korean small and medium-sized company, which is being Incubated by the US Asia Journal, to their respective business sectors.

Originally, Campingcar Inc. is a Rental-A-Car franchise operator that rents about 700 camping cars across Japan to local governments and hospitals to help them conduct PCR tests and vaccinations. As other business sectors, they are doing healthcare services (genetic testing services: dieting purposes) and transportation business (freight trucks). In addition, it is currently conducting M&A at a hospital in Japan, operating and managing hospitals acquired through M&A, and planning a medical sales business for hospitals nationwide in Japan.

For reference, Infoming is a company that developed a system that analyzes bio-signals of electrocardiogram, blood pressure, blood sugar, oxygen saturation, pulse, and body temperature through a PC screen or smartphone through a camera lens such as CCTV.

Meanwhile, Campingcar Inc. directly confirmed the solution demonstration of Infoming and even confirmed the substantiation TEST results for general patients at Severance Hospital, a large Korean hospital. They were surprised that Infoming’s solution is more accurate than existing medical devices, and in the case of electrocardiogram, it is currently possible to measure up to 78 types of heart disease and is measured at a real-time (at least 1 second interval). The CEO of Campingcar Inc. expressed his desire to use Infoming’s solution as a medical business for hospitals nationwide in Japan (including hospitals they will take over).

In addition, Campingcar Inc. showed interest in the fact that it can directly check the solution demonstration of GB Soft and measure the driver’s sleepiness in addition to four bio-signals. GB Soft has actually completed a POC verification to measure driver sleepiness in collaboration with Hyundai Mobis (development and manufacture of Hyundai Motor’s subsidiary, automotive parts and solutions). The CEO of Campingcar Inc. expressed his desire to use GB Soft’s solution to measure the level of sleepiness of cargo drivers, especially in the transportation business.

The CEO of Campingcar Inc. has suggested that a person in charge of the medical business and transportation business (cargo) sectors should be designated later to schedule specific solutions for Infomining and GB Soft, respectively, and conduct business discussions as a video conference.

As such, as the management of Japanese companies and Korean companies gathered in one place to discuss, the business consultation process proceeded quickly and smoothly.

It is worth looking forward to how the specific business will unfold between Campingcar Inc. in Japan and Infoming and GB Soft in Korea.
