iPhone 14 Release and USB Adapter Discontinuation and Sales Status

Apple, which introduces a new lineup every September, reported on the 17th that it plans to open the iPhone 14 on September 7th (local time) this year. Citing sources familiar with the issue, he explained that the new Mac (laptop), high-end and low-end iPads, and three Apple Watch models are also expected to be unveiled.Apple has been releasing its new iPhone in stores about 10 days after it unveiled it, and some stores have been notified to prepare for the release of its new product on the 16th of next month, the media added. However, he explained that iPhone 14 will not be released offline, but will hold an event online. In response, employees have begun recording parts of the presentation that will be used for online events over the past few weeks.
In June, Apple held an offline developer event called “WWDC 2022,” which unveiled new features of the iPhone software iOS16, for the first time in three years. Apple did not mention the specific timing of the event, explaining that Apple has usually released its latest iPhone in the first half of September, although its public plans may changeSome products can be unveiled at separate events later, but they will introduce three Apple Watch models, high-end and low-end iPads, and new Macs together. The new iPhone lineup is not expected to include a 5.4 inch version. Instead, a 6.7-inch large screen model that was only installed in Apple’s Pro iPhone model line is expected to be added. It is heard that the iPhone 14 Pro will remove ‘notch’ from the top edge of the front screen. Although there are still cameras, it is unlikely that they will take up much space on the front of the display. Sales are expected to begin on the 16th of the same monthAs Apple released the iPhone 14, there was a possibility that it could discontinue the 5W USB charging adapter. Apple announced in October 2020 that it would no longer provide free charging adapters to reduce carbon emissions and reduce resource use at the iPhone 12 public event, but it is currently selling 5W and 20W charging adapters as it continues this trend.

According to IT media BGR on the 16th (local time), Apple’s 5W USB charging adapter sales in Japan have been suspended. In addition, 5W USB power adapters have been sold out in Asia, including China, Australia and New Zealand, and Europe, including France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. On the other hand, 5W USB charging power adapters are currently available in the U.S., the U.K., and Canada. In these three countries, power adapters can be purchased online or at Apple Store for 19 dollars. The 5W USB charging adapter was Apple’s basic charger for iPhone buyers. However, Apple has not provided this basic charging adapter since 2020. Apple explained that it was a decision to protect the environment at the time. “Apple has not made an official announcement regarding the discontinuation of the USB charging adapter,” BGR said. The media then said, “If the release of iPhone 14 is imminent, we will be able to hear more about the discontinuation and sale of USB charging adapters,” adding that Apple’s 5W or 20W USB charging adapters should be obtained immediately.
