COVID-19 Re-proliferation Increases Confirmed Cases

As the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic continues in Korea, the number of new confirmed cases announced on the 27th is expected to exceed 100,000.
According to each local government, including the Seoul Metropolitan Government, 97,617 people were confirmed to have COVID-19 in 17 cities and provinces nationwide from 0:00 to 9:00 p.m. the previous day.
It was the highest in 98 days since April 19 (107,923), with 3,404 more people than the tally (94,213) at the same time on the previous day (25th). Currently, Korea has a lot of overseas and domestic movements due to the holiday season. Based on this trend, it is expected to increase further.

However, the “double” phenomenon, in which the number of new confirmed cases has doubled in a week, has eased somewhat, 1.33 times from a week ago (73,301) on the 19th (73,301) and 2.52 times from a week ago (38,734).As the number of new confirmed cases in the interim tally is already close to 100,,000, the number of new confirmed cases announced on the same day is likely to exceed 100,000.As of 0 o’clock on the 26th, the number of new confirmed patients was 99,327, an increase of 5,114 from the tally (94,213) as of 9 p.m. on the previous day.The average number of new confirmed patients per day is expected to exceed 70,000 for a week until that day. For a week until the previous day, the number of new confirmed patients per day was 76,379 → 71,146 → 68,603 → 68,548 → 65,428 → 35,833 → 99,327 on average, with a daily average of 69,331. Attention is being paid to how Korea, which was a model country for k-quarantine, will deal with it. In fact, outside the street, not a few people are already showing negligence in masks despite these announcements and figures. Of course, it is an autonomous doctor because there are no government regulations or policies on wearing outdoor masks, but I think it is a cause of some.

The Central Disease Control Headquarters (CDC) maintained the risk of COVID-19 in the third week of July (17-23) and predicted that “the increase will continue for the next two to three weeks.”
“The important thing is to continue daily recovery and overcome the re-proliferation crisis at the same time,” Gyeongran Baek, head of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said in a briefing on the previous day. “We will be able to overcome the trend well by voluntarily practicing and participating in social distancing.” The implementation of these policies shows that they are already adhering to a policy based on autonomy before the new presidential election.
