International Airport (Changi/Incheon) Comparison in Reopened Sky

Changi International Airport

Singapore International Airport Like London Heathrow Airport, although it is a world-class international airport, the official name does not include International, but it is commonly called Changi International Airport because domestic flights cannot exist at all anyway.
It is located in Changi, a suburb about 20 kilometers from downtown Singapore.
It is the hub of Singapore Airlines, Singapore’s flag carrier and flag carrier. Other Singapore Airlines subsidiaries, Silk Air, Scoot Airlines and Jetstar Asia, are also used as hubs. Except for the Singapore flag, Cathay Pacific Airlines in Hong Kong also uses Changi as a focus city. It is not a pure civilian airport like other airports, but two squadrons of the Singapore Air Force are stationed at South Korea’s Gimhae International Airport, Daegu International Airport, Pohang Airport, Gwangju Airport, Sacheon Airport, and Sapporo New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido, Japan. This is the former Fayarbar International Airport. It was built to replace the existing gateway, Fayarbar International Airport, and opened in 1981. After the opening of the port, Fayarbar became a military airfield. Thanks to this, photography is prohibited and you can see fighter jets taking/landing. You can see a variety of military aircraft, including Singapore’s proud F-15 SG fighter, C-130 transport, P-3 patrol aircraft, and helicopters.

Incheon International Airport

In various evaluations, it is almost always considered the best airport in the world in the 2010s. Haneda Airport in Tokyo, South Korea’s Seoul metropolitan area, and Hong Kong’s Hong Kong International Airport in Hong Kong are fighting for second, third and fourth place, making it virtually the best airport in the world. After 2021, Singapore has emerged as Asia’s top airport holder, taking advantage of Hong Kong and Japan, which have become more restrictive since the pandemic.
First of all, the convenience of entry and exit is equipped with an automated system (passport scan), and gates are distributed far away through air traps to prevent crowding. Perhaps that’s why there are many things to see.And I felt comfortably well-managed.
At the end of 2018, Malaysia’s airline Firefly Airlines was moved to the existing Seletta Airport following the opening of a new terminal. Celeta Airport is mainly operated by low-cost airlines and light aircraft to nearby Indonesia and Malaysia. It is also said that some airlines will move to Seletta Airport in the future if Singapore’s Changi Airport becomes impossible future. In other words, you can enter Singapore at two airports. This airport is so beautifully decorated that there are many things to see. Unlike Hong Kong International Airport and Suvarnabhum International Airport, where security is tight due to the protests, it is open and the airport is considered one of the tourist attractions. On April 17, 2019, Jewel Changi Airport, a shopping complex, opened. It opened as a large complex space with five stories above ground and five stories below ground.
On the other hand, it is a gateway to Johor Baru in southern Malaysia as well as Singapore. You can take an international intercity bus to Johorbaru from here.

Changi International Airport

It is sometimes called Changgi Airport/Changgi International Airport. However, Changi is a Malay name, not English, so “Changi” is a pronunciation close to the original language.

Incheon International Airport

In modern Malay spelling, it is correct to write Cangi, but in geographical names and personalities, the spelling remains like thisRecently, Incheon International Airport is expected to recover demand to 76% at the end of this year compared to before COVID-19 along with a full-fledged recovery in air demand, with the number of passengers exceeding 60,000 per day. Incheon International Airport Corporation, which is striving to normalize airport operations early, made 2022 the first year of Incheon Airport’s re-leap, and announced 10 major tasks in January, focusing on three pillars: normalization of airport operations, strengthening airport competitiveness and sustainable future growth.

Incheon International Airport

As part of that, it was proposed as a goal to strengthen the branding of culture and arts airports by attracting culture and arts facilities and contents. The idea is that automatic systems and quarantine and security systems are more active than Changi Airport.Terminal 1 / Terminal 2 also boasts the scale of aviation congestion and personnel accommodation.Above all, it is also notable that skywalks are installed everywhere to each gate to make it easier to move.On the 25th, a total of two temporary screening inspection stations were operating at Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 in Jung-gu, Incheon. Since the 25th, the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters has strengthened its policy of requiring overseas entrants to undergo PCR tests within three days of entry to inspections within one day of entry, attracting people to the inspection center. At 11:15 a.m. that day, about 25 inbound travelers were waiting in front of the COVID-19 inspection center east of Terminal 1. The COVID-19 test center in the airport has to pay $70 for PCR tests, but some inbound travelers were tested at the airport instead of being tested at a local health center for free. It was because time was running out to get tested on the day of entry.
