Myanmar announces exemptions from forex conversion order; eyes new energy investments

SINGAPORE – Myanmar’s junta will exempt businesses operating in the country’s sole special economic zones (SEZ) as well as all other approved businesses from a draconian foreign exchange order, a top economics official said on Thursday (April 21).
