Shell profits smash forecasts as oil and gas prices soar

LONDON (REUTERS) – Shell reported on Thursday (Feb 3) a sharp rise in fourth-quarter profit to US$6.4 billion (S$8.6 billion), beating forecasts, lifted by soaring oil and natural gas prices as global economic activity picked up.
