As a result of the Japanese police using artificial intelligence (AI) to crack down on illegal part-time job recruitment posts at X, it was found that it was six times more efficient than conventional manual work.
According to the Yomiuri Shimbun on the 8th, the National Police Agency introduced and operated a system in late July to automatically find illegal part-time posts through AI.
As a result, over the four months from August to November, X detected 18,500 illegal part-time job postings and sent a warning to the author.
This figure is six times higher than when a police officer did it manually.
The National Police Agency plans to use AI to block illegal part-time job recruitment posts on other social media in the future.
Recruitment of illegal part-time jobs through social media has emerged as a problem as it was found to have been used to recruit executors of a series of robberies in the Japanese metropolitan area since August last year.

It was investigated that the robbery and home invasion offenders who were arrested at the time used multiple X accounts to recruit execution offenders under slang such as “white agenda” and “immediate payment (cash payment on the same day).” In the past, police found illegal part-time job recruitment posts by entering crime-related keywords and sent messages such as “Executive Recruitment Letters is Illegal” to the author.
However, after a series of robberies involving illegal part-time jobs last year, the National Police Agency decided to introduce AI.
After preparation, the National Police Agency introduced a system to classify X’s posts in the order of high risk by AI that has learned slang or expressions used for illegal part-time jobs at the end of July.
The warning is being sent after investigators check the post.
According to the National Police Agency, the introduction of the AI detection system has increased the number of warnings sent from an average of 25 cases per day to 150. It was 18,500 cases in four months from August to November, already exceeding 9,000 cases last year.
The National Police Agency plans to expand its AI crackdown to other SNSs such as Facebook and Thread, as illegal part-time job recruitment posts are being deleted after sending warnings.
