As I wrap up my time as a student reporter for US ASIA JOURNAL, I would like to reflect on the experiences and lessons I’ve gained throughout this journey. This program was more than just reporting or video production — it was a valuable opportunity to analyze and engage directly with the film and drama industries, fields I am most passionate about. By closely examining the dynamics of the content industry and capturing the voices of people in the field, I found my passion for media becoming even stronger.
Through this experience, I was able to observe key industry trends such as the growth of OTT platforms, the intensifying global content race, and the evolving roles of creators. These insights went beyond simple observation; they became the foundation for developing my skills in content criticism and analysis. It was a time that allowed me to think more deeply about the essence of content and the structure of the market, broadening my perspective as a media enthusiast.

I also had the opportunity to expand my practical experience in video production. From producing a comeback video for singer Jo Jung-hyun, to creating product review videos for Costock and Myungjang Kim brands, I planned, filmed, and edited various forms of content. Each project had different goals, target audiences, and storytelling approaches. Through these experiences, I learned how to visually express brand messages, construct coherent storylines, and set appropriate tone and style — all of which strengthened my skills as a content producer.
This journey allowed me to connect with people through content, discover new values, and once again feel the power of storytelling. I believe I have grown not only in my perspective as a journalist but also in my mindset as a future content creator.
Building on this experience, I aim to continue creating meaningful content that delivers insightful messages, offers critical perspectives on industry trends, and embraces creative challenges. My next goal is to explore diverse stories across different fields and produce deeper, more impactful content.
