Seoul’s city bus will launch a pilot service for ‘T-Money Tagless Payment’, a contactless public transportation payment system

As of the 25th, the system has been introduced to a total of 590 city buses on 36 routes in Seoul.

Tagless payment is a method of automatically paying for bus boarding and disembarkation while leaving a transportation card or smartphone in a pocket or bag without stamping it on the terminal.

Both hands are free, so you can use them conveniently when it rains or you lift both hands full, as well as people who are vulnerable to traffic such as children, the elderly, and crutches.

In addition, it is expected that safety accidents will be prevented by not having to stand up in advance before stopping to get off the bus, and there will be fewer cases of forgetting and getting off without tags when getting off the bus.

All you need to do is set ‘Use Tagless Payment’ in the mobile T-Money app. Payments are made with mobile sensor devices and low-power Bluetooth technology (BLE).

It is serviced with existing tag payments, so you can choose and pay in any way you want, and you can also transfer with buses or other transportation methods that do not have a tagless payment system installed.
