Video Encouraging Morning Jumps Viewed More Than 2 Million Times On TikTok

“As soon as I get out of bed in the morning, I run 50 times,” said Catherine Smith, the content creator who filmed the video. “This can be life-changing.”

If you don’t live in an apartment and feel tired every morning, it’s worth practicing. Starting the day with light exercise, such as jumping, can give you as much energy as drinking a cup of coffee.

“Jumping right after the weather helps us to set our minds to live a more productive day by getting up in our bodies and brains and sending signals to start the day,” said Hajim Mustafa, a sports medicine specialist at Catholic Health, a hospital in Colorado, U.S.

Of course, it is beneficial physically as well. “Jumping facilitates blood circulation and stimulates the brain by delivering a lot of oxygen,” Mustafa said. “It raises body temperature and helps the body that was resting at night prepare for activities.”

Of course, someone who is already healthy does not dramatically improve their condition just by jumping 50 times immediately after waking up. “It is true that jumping helps improve bone density, but it is a story that has been repeated for weeks,” Mustafa said. “Still, it is worth using this challenge as an opportunity to form an exercise habit for the first time.”

People who lack exercise effectiveness with just 50 jumps can also use the trampoline at home. The American Athletic Association (ACE) said running for more than 20 minutes on a small trampoline is just as healthy as running. Unexpectedly, running on a trampoline turned out to be a medium-intensity exercise, which is comparable to running at a speed of about 9.6 kilometers per hour.
