According to the Daily Mail in the U.K. on the 10th, Emirates Airlines changed its rules from August 15 to prevent children under the age of 8 from booking first-class (first-class) tickets through mileage. Not only full mileage tickets but also mileage upgrades in existing seats are restricted. However, the restrictions do not apply if you pay by cash or credit card.
It is predicted that the change will significantly reduce the number of first-class passengers of children under the age of eight. Analysts say that the government has effectively restricted children’s boarding as high-priced first-class seats are often discounted or upgraded using mileage.
Opinions were divided online when the child boarding restrictions were released.
Some passengers supported the restriction, saying they wanted a quiet environment. One passenger welcomed the move, saying, “I boarded the first class for a comfortable and comfortable flight, but little children cried all the time and ruined everything.”
On the other hand, a female netizen refuted, saying, “My children behave more politely on airplanes than adults,” adding, “Age itself cannot be a criterion for judging whether or not to consider other passengers.”
Another user responded, “If you don’t like children, take a personal plane or prepare noise-blocking headphones.”
The airline has been asked to express its position in this regard.
