Japan’s Kirin Holdings, which sells beer and other beverages, begins utilizing virtual executives created by artificial intelligence (AI) at a management strategy meeting involving executives

Kirin introduced an AI executive called “Coremate” last month to quickly judge management-related issues based on objective data without relying on experience and intuition.

The company developed its own system based on models provided by Microsoft and Google.

AI executives who have learned minutes and external information from meetings held over the past decade are in charge of each specialized field such as marketing, legal affairs, and finance.

Twelve AI executives are responsible for presenting issues and sharing information at meetings.

For example, an AI executive in charge of ESG (environmental, social, and governance) suggests that “we should also discuss procurement of raw materials and response to water resource risks in consideration of climate change,” Nikkei said.
