K-pop star G-Dragon’s collaboration with Highball is popular

A new product of the “Peace Minus One High Ball” series, which sold more than 6 million units in more than two months at CU convenience store, will be released on the 23rd. The product is a collaboration between singer G-Dragon’s fashion brand “Peace Minus One” and liquor company Buruguru, which was called “GD High Ball” and became a box office sensation.

BGF Retail, which runs CU, announced on the 20th that it will release its third high ball, “Peace Minus One Daisy High Ball,” in collaboration with singer G-Dragon’s fashion brand Peace Minus One, on the 23rd.

Peace Minus One Daisy Highball sold 10,000 bundles (60,000 cans) in three hours in a pre-sale held on CU’s own app “PocketCU” on the 16th. The product is based on cognac and has an alcohol content of 8.8 degrees.

G-Dragon designed the labels for the Peace Minus One high-ball series. G-Dragon painted Daisy, the symbol of Peace Minus One, in different expressions, colors and textures in the package. The Peace Minus One high-ball series sold more than 6 million copies in two months at CU convenience store, breaking the record of being sold out in the shortest period of time and the highest daily sales of alcoholic beverages. On the day of the release of the Peace Minus One Black High Bowl at the end of April this year, 888 units were sold out in less than a second at Pocket CU.

An official from BGF Retail said, “As overseas stores have also received a series of export inquiries, the Peace Minus One High Ball series has established itself as a hit product to promote K Culture.”
