OpenAI, a producer of ChatGPT, announced on the 7th that ChatGPT’s voice conversation function has been updated to enable more diverse emotions and natural accents.
The update was aimed at ‘Advanced Voice Mode’, a real-time voice conversation function provided to users of the paid version of ChatGPT.
OpenAI said, “We have significantly improved the accent and naturalness in ChatGPT’s advanced voice mode for paid users, so that the interaction feels more fluent and human.”
ChatGPT’s ‘Advanced Voice Mode’ is an updated version of ‘GTP-4o’, a voice conversation model released by OpenAI in May last year.
By improving the use of more than 50 languages other than English, such as Korean and Japanese, you can exchange natural conversations with users.
OpenAI said the update allows the function to speak more naturally using more subtle accents and realistic tones, such as relaxing and emphasizing speech.
He also explained that his expressive ability for certain emotions, such as empathy and sarcasm, has improved.
The update also includes a real-time voice translation function.
OpenAI explained that this function allows you to receive real-time voice translation in situations such as conversations with foreign colleagues or asking for directions abroad.
