A beauty influencer in her 20s in Taiwan, who gained popularity through a cosmetic eating broadcast, suddenly died. While the exact cause of death has not been revealed, it is speculated that it may have been caused by a “cosmetic poisoning.”
According to Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post, it was belatedly known that Taiwan’s 24-year-old female eating influencer “Guava Beauty” died suddenly on the 24th of last month.
He had more than 12,000 followers on social media for his unique content of eating cosmetics such as lipstick and blusher.
In a recent video, he said, “It’s like agar jelly. It tastes terrible.”
Netizens who watched his video earlier expressed concerns about his safety, the media reported. Those who watched the video said, “You should not encourage people to eat cosmetics. Cosmetics is a chemical product,” and “If someone watches your video, can you be responsible for it if it goes wrong?”
On April 24, Guava’s profile was changed to “Log out of the world. Going on a new journey. All business cooperation will be suspended.”
His family said, “We deliver with deep sadness the news that our precious beauty product eating girl Guava Beauty put down her brush and flew away to start a new channel in heaven on May 24.”
In China, various speculations are pouring out over the cause of Guava’s death. Some questioned whether his death was related to a cosmetic poison.
