Gangwon-do Province and Gangwon Tourism Organization (CEO Kang Oki) announced that they will hold a four-day winter sports product development and promotion fam tour for leading travel agencies and journalists in Vietnam from February 12 (Sun).
The fam tour will be held in collaboration with the Hanoi branch of the Korea Tourism Organization and the theme tourism team to promote winter sports products in Gangwon Province to the Vietnamese market and expand winter tourism demand in the mid- to long-term.
The invited people are leading journalists, including excellent travel agencies and Vietnamese state-run broadcaster VTC in 2022 selected by the Hanoi branch of the Korea Tourism Organization, and will enter the country using the Fly Gangwon regular route from Hanoi, Vietnam, to Yangyang International Airport.
Gangwon Province plans to increase the number of days of stay for foreign tourists by providing schedules centered on winter sports facilities such as leisure sports activities facilities in Mureung Byeol Yucheon in the East Sea, ski resort exploration in Pyeongchang, and sledding in four seasons.
MunKyu Won Executive Director of Tourism Marketing Dept of Gangwon Tourism Organization said, “Since October last year, many foreign tourists have visited Gangwon-do Province. It seems to be the result of Gangwon-do’s continuous overseas marketing even during the COVID-19. In the future, we will contribute to revitalizing the local economy through more active overseas promotion,” he said.
