The Seoul Business Agency (SBA, CEO Kim Hyun-woo), which supports the development of digital innovation talent and the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises, announced that it opened the fourth campus of the Youth Employment Academy in Yongsan on November 8.
Located on the third floor of Rajin Electronic World, 109 Cheongpa-ro, Yongsan-gu, Yongsan Campus has an area of 2,254.5㎡, consisting of open camp (1), class (4), intensive learning room (2), job coordination room (1), interview room (1), study cafe, and community lounge.
The Youth Employment Academy is an educational institution that provides practical training in the digital new technologies of the fourth industry, such as software (SW) and digital transformation (DT), to young job seekers living in Seoul, and supports employment and start-ups.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Industrial Promotion Agency opened the first campus of the Youth Employment Academy in Yeongdeungpo in October 2020 and opened the Geumcheon Campus (opened in December 21st and April 22nd) sequentially to solve mismatching problems.

Just completing the high-quality curriculum of the Youth Employment Academy proves that job seekers have become competitive. As of 2021, 70% of the 448 students who completed the curriculum of Yeongdeungpo Campus and Geumcheon Campus and received job-linked support succeeded in finding a job or starting a business.
Yongsan Campus, which will open this time, is the fourth campus after Yeongdeungpo, Geumcheon, and Mapo campuses. In particular, it operates as a comprehensive campus with software development (SW) and digital transformation (DT) courses, and trains 180 digital youth talents in eight curriculums.
The Yongsan Campus curriculum is largely divided into software (SW) and digital transformation (DT), and the software development process consists of six courses: app, web, cloud, fintech, AI+IoT, IoT, IoT/robot+AR·VR, and the digital transformation (DT) process consists of two courses in UI/UX design and web design/publishing.

The training period consists of a course of about 3 to 6 months (200 to 700 hours), and education is provided on basic and deep theories by field and the use of technology stacks, languages, and digital tools that are essential in the practice field. In addition, field experiences can be acquired in advance through practical projects for each job.
In addition, to strengthen the recruitment/start-up capabilities of trainees before and after the end of the curriculum, it will provide self-introduction/interview skills coaching and mentoring, and support job matching of trainees who want to find jobs and companies.
By the end of the year, new campuses will be opened sequentially in Gangdong, Gangseo, and Dongjak to train a total of 1,150 corporate field workers in the digital field at a total of seven youth employment academies.
Gangdong Campus is operated as a comprehensive type (SW/DT field) and Kangseo and Dongjak are operated as a specialized campus (DT field), and a total of 280 students will be trained in 10 courses, and details can be found on the Sprout website (sesac.seoul.kr).

Lee Kwang-yeol, head of SBA’s education division, said, “We will provide young job seekers with a ‘quality curriculum’ and a ‘customized job and start-up support’ system at a time when digital transformation is accelerated due to the 4th Industrial Revolution and Covid-19.”
